Recently, the Escape from Tarkov shooter from the Battlestate Games studio received a major update that reset the progress of the players. After the patch, the developers reported that their BattlEye anti-cheat system blocked 3 thousand violators, and now this number has grown to 10 thousand. Battlestate is not going to stop and intends to take on sellers and buyers of in-game items for real money.
According to the portal
Another mechanism to make life more difficult for cheaters in a shooter will be two-factor authorization via SMS messages. However, Nikita Buyanov fears that violators who buy illegal software for $200 will not be too lazy to purchase several SIM cards.
At the end, the Battlestate CEO mentioned buying and selling items with real money at the in-game flea market. The studio plans to deal with users involved in such fraud, but there is no specifics on this yet.
There is also a possibility that Escape from Tarkov will be banned from entering using a VPN. However, according to Nikita Buyanov, all measures against scammers should be taken carefully, as they can affect ordinary players.
