Focus Home Interactive has announced that Call of Cthulhu is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2019.
Call of Cthulhu went on sale in October 2018 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The game is set in 1924. Private detective Edward Pierce investigates the death of the Hawkins family on the secluded island of Darkwater, not far from Boston. Pretty soon, the hero finds himself drawn into a terrifying world of conspiracies, cultists, and cosmic horrors.
In Call of Cthulhu, the hero's mind is teetering on the brink of insanity, and the mind constantly doubts the reality of what is happening. This is a game based on the works of Howard Lovecraft, where strange creatures and sinister cults seek to bring the world to an end.
Many critics greeted the game quite positively. WeGotThisCovered wrote that "Lovecraft would be proud." Kotaku UK called it a breakthrough in the genre. However, the average rating for Call of Cthulhu, based on 123 reviews, is 67 out of 100.
