In Fedora 41 it is proposed to create an official build with the Miracle composite manager

Matthew Kosarek, a developer from Canonical, came up with a proposal to begin creating official Spin builds of Fedora Linux with a user environment based on the Miracle window manager, using the Wayland protocol and components for building Mir composite managers. The spin edition of Fedora with Miracle is planned to be delivered starting with the release of Fedora Linux 41. The proposal has not yet been reviewed by the FESCo (Fedora Engineering Steering Committee), which is responsible for the technical part of the development of the Fedora distribution.

The goal of the new build is to create a functional and elegant user environment with a tiling window layout in the style of the i3 window manager and a more vibrant graphic design with visual effects. The benefit of creating a new build of Fedora is the introduction of a high-quality Wayland-based environment that can be used on a wide range of devices, including low-power devices with processors based on ARM and x86 architectures.
