It all started with the fact that one of the participants in the closed beta test shared on the site reddit a screenshot with information about the game's executable file. The size of 337 MB clearly hinted at the presence of the protection mentioned above. And here on Steam forum a company spokesperson stated, β€œThe Surge 2 will not have Denuvo at launch. Protection is built in only for closed beta testing, which is currently underway, and will be deactivated later. Perhaps this contributes to the release of the game in the GOG store (First part already there for sale).

β€œCaught in a mysterious storm, your plane crashes on the outskirts of Jericho, and a few weeks later you wake up in an abandoned city prison,” says Deck13 about the plot. β€œArmored soldiers enforce martial law, robots are out of control, and a terrible nanite storm is brewing over the city…” Developing our hero, improving robotic armor and fighting technomonsters, including huge bosses, we will try to save the remnants of humanity and stop the hostile artificial intelligence.

The game will be published by Focus Home Interactive. The release will take place on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 24th. By the way, in Steam you can already pre-order for 1699 rubles.
