Firefox 88 silently removed "Page Info" context menu item

Mozilla, without mentioning it in a release note or informing users, has removed the “View Page Info” option from the Firefox 88 context menu, which is a convenient way to view page options and get links to images and resources used on the page. The hotkey “CTRL+I” to call the “View Page Info” dialog still works. You can also access the dialog through the main menu “Tools/Page Info” or by clicking on the lock icon in the address bar, then clicking on the side arrow and clicking on the “More Information” link. The reasons for removing it from the context menu are not clear; such actions violate the usual way of life, irritate users and take time to get used to the new method of calling a fairly actively used function.

In addition, the “View Image” item has disappeared from the context menu, through which you could open an image in the current contribution. At the same time, a new item “Open Image in New Tab” has been added, which makes it possible to open the current image in a new tab. Instead of the “Undo Close Tab” element, the “Reopen Closed Tab” item appeared in the context menu of tabs.
