Firefox will now be able to export saved passwords in CSV format

Into the codebase from which Firefox 78 will be released, added the ability to export credentials saved in the password manager in CSV format (text fields with delimiters that can be imported into a spreadsheet). In the future, it is also planned to implement the function of importing passwords from a previously saved CSV file (it is understood that the user may need to back up and restore saved passwords or transfer passwords from another browser).

When exporting, passwords are placed in the file in plain text. Recall that when you set a master password, passwords in Firefox's built-in password manager are stored encrypted. It is noteworthy that the proposal to add a password export function to Firefox was added 16 years ago, but all this time remained unaccepted. Google Chrome export passwords to CSV supported by since the release of Chrome 67 formed in 2018.
