Already now, Advanced Protection members who have turned on synchronization in the Chrome browser will begin to automatically receive more reliable protection against risky downloads on the Internet. First of all, we are talking about files containing malicious code.

Members of the previously mentioned program who have purchased special electronic keys can activate the new function. Additional protection is a relevant tool for journalists, businessmen, politicians and other people who regularly work with important documents that need to be kept confidential. After activating the new feature, the Chrome web browser will warn the user that he is trying to download a potentially dangerous file. Moreover, in some cases, automatic download blocking may be enabled. Google representatives say that such protection will preserve the confidentiality of user data.

Additional protection against downloading potentially harmful files in the Chrome browser is part of the security offerings for those enrolled in the Advanced Protection program. In addition, a few days ago the developers announced the that administrators of corporate networks will be able to use the advanced protection program to ensure the security of user accounts of G Suite, Google Cloud Platform, and Cloud Identity services.
