Incognito mode and additional protection will appear in the Google Play Store

According to online sources, new features will appear in one of the future versions of the Google Play Store digital content store. We are talking about incognito mode and a tool that will warn the user about the ability of an application to install additional components or programs. The mention of new features was found in the Play Store version 17.0.11 code.

As for the incognito mode, its purpose is quite clear. When in incognito mode, the app will not save information about search queries, preferences, and other data collected during interaction with the Play Store.

Another innovation may be more curious. Previously, Android implemented a tool that prohibited the installation of applications from sources other than the Play Store. If necessary, users could turn off this feature in the device settings. Obviously, something similar will soon be implemented in the Play Store. Probably, the developers are preparing a tool that will warn the user that the application he is downloading may be downloading other programs from unverified sources. Simply put, the Play Store will notify the user in advance that the installation of an application may result in the download of additional components that are outside the Play Store.

Many users give programs permission to download additional components and never disable this ability, which can be unsafe. Let's hope Google's notifications aren't too invasive and annoying. However, they can be very useful, periodically reminding users of programs that can download something potentially dangerous to the device.
