Riot Games has announced a new turn-based mode for League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics (TFT).
In Teamfight Tactics, eight players battle it out in 1v1 matches until the last one stands victorious. In this mode, Riot Games aims to give casual and hardcore gamers a "deep" gameplay experience, but not as action-packed as in other League of Legends modes.
“Players are above all for us, so we approach the further development of TFT with great responsibility. We plan to release updates every two weeks, host seasonal events, and add new modes,” said Richard Henkel, TFT Product Manager. “We see a strong interest in autobattler players and we hope that League of Legends fans will appreciate the synergy of the familiar style and well-developed gameplay in the new mode.”
The alpha version of Teamfight Tactics will be available in League of Legends this month with update 9.13. You can find out more about it at
