Wizards of the Coast has announced the premiere of the next set of Magic: The Gathering in the digital version of their trading card game - Zendikar Rising is available now in Magic: The Gathering Arena.

Zendikar Rising has 280 cards, including 36 double-sided copies. You can see the entire list on a special page the official Wizards of the Coast website.

With the release of Zendikar Rising, Magic: The Gathering brought back the Amplifier and Landfall mechanics, as well as the addition of the Squad. The developers told more about each system in separate article.

In addition, the arrival of Zendikar Rising marked a card rotation, with Core Set 2020, Guilds of Ravnica, Ravnica Allegiance, and War of the Spark moving from Standard to Historic.

In honor of the update, Magic: The Gathering Arena users are also waiting for rewards - in order to receive them, you had to create an account and log into the game before the release of Zendikar Rising.

The desktop version of Zendikar Rising will be available on September 25 this year. Some card packs from the new paper edition will contain redeemable codes for Magic: The Gathering Arena.

Magic: The Gathering Arena is available on PC but will be coming to mobile devices in the future. There are no release dates for the iOS and Android versions of the game yet, but the developers assure that "every month brings us closer to the release."
