Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) have been around for about four years now. Microsoft is actively using them in Windows 10 along with the usual ones. PWAs work like regular apps, support Cortana integration, live tiles, notifications, and more.
Now how , there may be new kinds of applications of this type that will work in conjunction with Chrome browsers and the new Edge. In addition, they can be uninstalled, like regular programs - through the Control Panel. At the moment this is not yet possible.
However, this is not the only innovation. Also in the new version of the "blue" browser, another function has been added that will allow you to quickly pause playback on YouTube or another online service. You can also run it again.
Simply put, in the new build of Microsoft Edge the ability to separate the video from the browser and play it on the desktop. The controls allow you to adjust the sound as well as pause the work. But you can’t go to the previous or next track / video yet.
This feature has recently appeared in Edge Canary and Chrome Canary. No word yet on when the new product will be released. And in Edge, they are testing the function of displaying only icons in Favorites, and not the full names of sites. This allows you to clear the panel and save space.
