Mortal Kombat 11 introduced console cross-play in test mode

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm studio have released a fresh update to the fighting game Mortal Kombat 11 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which introduced cross-platform multiplayer for both platforms. This is not yet available on PC, Nintendo Switch or Stadia.

Mortal Kombat 11 introduced console cross-play in test mode

When the function is enabled Crossplay PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users will meet each other in standard matchmaking and Krossplay Online Rooms (separate rooms for manually searching for opponents). If you encounter a player from another platform in Online Kasual, Online Rooms or Kasual Leaderboards, they will be marked with a crossplay icon of two crossed arrows on the Kombat Kard.

If you believe that a player from another platform is using cheating software or violating the rules of conduct, you can report them with a written explanation and reason through the Kareer Stats > Krossplay Players Met menu.

For now, crossplay is limited to cross-platform multiplayer only. You cannot transfer your Mortal Kombat 11 profile (including leveling up, unlocked items, or purchased items) to another console.
