On June 28, 2019, on the eve of the celebration of the Day of the Inventor and Innovator in Russia, the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation will host the VI All-Russian Annual Conference "Young Technicians and Inventors".

It will be attended by talented children aged 6 to 18 from all over Russia who are fond of natural sciences, have shown outstanding technical abilities and submitted original technical projects and inventions to the competition in their region. In order to get to Moscow, they successfully passed the regional qualifying stages.

The best works of the participants of the final stage of the conference in Moscow will be determined by experts from the Russian Academy of Sciences and leading Moscow universities and large companies.

This year, more than 400 individual and collective projects and works with prototypes made by schoolchildren from 77 regions of the Russian Federation are submitted for participation in the final stage. Many of the projects, despite the young age of the participants, are distinguished by originality and professional performance.

The nominations approved by the organizing committee of the conference in 2019 reflect the key challenges of today's scientific, economic and social development of the country. These include the nominations "Human Health", "City of the Future", "Nanotech-YUTI", "Industrial Technologies and Robotics", "Transport of the Future", "IT Technologies", "Social Innovations and Educational Technologies". Two of this year's nominations are held by the Young Technicians and Inventors Foundation for Support of Children's Scientific and Technical Creativity, the first - Nanotech-YUTI - with the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs of Rosnano (FIOP), the second - "The Best Idea for a Startup" - with Internet Initiatives Development Foundation (IIDF).

Within the framework of the "Nanotech-YUTI" nomination, the All-Russian competition "Nanotechnologies for All" was held. More than 300 schools, members of the Rusnano School League program, took part in it.

This year, a new one appeared in the list of main nominations - "Chemical Industry", the partner of which was PJSC "Metafrax". The competition was called "Chemistry without Borders". It presented works in the field of means and technologies for water and wastewater treatment, waste recycling, the results of experiments and proposals for methods for separating water-organic emulsions, studying the properties and improving new materials and proposals for their use in various industries, agriculture, construction and medicine. 

The largest number of works was presented in the nomination "Transport of the Future: Space, Aviation, Helicopter Engineering, Shipbuilding, Road and Rail Transport". Among the projects that made it to the final stage are models of space stations, various manned and unmanned non-return vehicles for space exploration, a lunar combine for the extraction of helium-3 (Kabardino-Balkaria Republic), spacesuit energy saving systems, projects of space houses and greenhouses.

As part of a joint nomination with the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) and the Russian Helicopters holding, the general partners of the conference, 16 best works from 12 regions were selected. The projects concerned both the direct creation of new types of aircraft with unique characteristics through the use of new types of materials, and the search for new functions and tasks for their application in various areas of life.

For the first time, the nomination β€œShipbuilding” will take a special place at the conference. In Moscow, the guys will show their prototypes of multifunctional underwater vehicles, tugs and high-speed comets.

The general partner of the conference, JSC Russian Railways, together with the UTI Foundation, will choose the winner in the nomination of rail vehicles among projects in the field of creating multimodal transport for cities, magnetic levitation transport and many other interesting ideas.

As part of the cultural program, the conference participants will visit the Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy (VDNKh) on June 29, as well as visit the Cosmonautics and Aviation Center and the Slovo Slavic Literature Center.
