Odnoklassniki announced the introduction of a new feature: the popular social network now supports so-called vertical video content.
We are talking about videos shot in portrait mode. Studies show that users hold their smartphone vertically 97% of the time for iOS devices and 89% of the time for Android devices, including for shooting and watching videos.
Thanks to the support of "vertical" video materials, videos recorded in portrait format will now be displayed in Odnoklassniki without black borders on the sides. This will increase the comfort of their viewing.
βVertical videos take up more space on the screen of mobile devices, and also make video content more visible in the user's feed and easier to view. As a result, video authors and advertisers receive more feedback from users,β the social network notes.
In addition, another new feature has appeared in Odnoklassniki β the ability to upload mobile covers for groups. On a mobile device, the cover will adapt to any screen position: with a horizontal orientation, the cover will seamlessly switch to the one shown in the web version, and with a vertical orientation, it will return back.
