OPPO came up with a smartphone with a "lunar" camera

Network sources have discovered the patent documentation of the Chinese company OPPO for a smartphone with an unusually designed multi-module rear camera.

As you can see in the illustrations, the camera components follow the shape of the incomplete moon in location. In particular, a flash and three optical units with image sensors are lined up along the arc.

There is a certain semicircular area above the camera elements. It is alleged that it will serve to display notifications. It is speculated that animated icons will be displayed here.

The smartphone is equipped with a symmetrical USB Type-C port and side physical control buttons. There is no fingerprint scanner on the back: it will probably be integrated directly into the display area.

The screen itself boasts narrow bezels. The front camera is not visible in the schematic images - perhaps OPPO is hoping to hide it behind the display.

Alas, so far the unusual device exists only in patent documentation. Whether OPPO is going to bring the proposed design to life is not yet clear.
