Mannequins will go on the first flight on a Russian tourist spaceship

The Russian company CosmoKurs, founded in 2014 as part of the Skolkovo Foundation, spoke about plans to launch the first tourist spacecraft.

CosmoKurs, we recall, is developing a complex of a reusable launch vehicle and a reusable spacecraft for tourist space travel. Clients will be offered an unforgettable flight for $200-$250. For this money, tourists will be able to spend 5-6 minutes in zero gravity and admire our planet from space.

According to TASS, dummies will go on the first flight on the KosmoKursa spacecraft. The ship will be equipped with special sensors for collecting various information: they will allow you to record overloads, shock loads, etc.

“There will be sensors on the apparatus and a model of a person, maybe there will be six of them. We have an extensive program of flight tests, within which many studies can be carried out in parallel. In particular, we are ready to meet halfway and launch a robot or even animals on our capsule, if someone has such a desire, ”said Pavel Pushkin, CEO of CosmoKurs.

We add that to launch tourist ships, the CosmoKurs company expects to build its own cosmodrome in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The devices will be able to fly more than ten times.
