Another bug found in Boeing 737 Max software

According to online sources, Boeing specialists have identified a new error in the software of the Boeing 737 Max aircraft. The company believes that despite this, the Boeing 737 Max airliners will be returned to service by the middle of this year.

Another bug found in Boeing 737 Max software

The report says that the company's engineers discovered the problem during flight tests last month. They then notified the US Federal Aviation Administration of their find. As far as we know, the detected problem is related to the "stabilizer trim system" indicator, which helps with the control of the aircraft. During the test flight, it was found that the indicator starts working when it is not required. Boeing engineers are already working on fixing this error, hoping to fix it soon so as not to disrupt the company's plans to return airliners to work by the middle of the year.

β€œWe plan to make changes to the Boeing 737 Max software so that the indicator only works as intended. This will happen before the aircraft begin to operate for their intended purpose again, ”a company representative commented on the situation.

The head of the US Federal Aviation Administration, Steve Dickson, recently said that a certification flight of the Boeing 737 Max could take place in the next few weeks, during which the regulator will evaluate the changes made to the software. It is worth noting that even after obtaining permission from the regulator, it may take a long time before the Boeing 737 Max airliners take to the air again.
