The PS Store unexpectedly became free the first season of Hitman - the distribution may be a mistake

Forum Users ResetEra и Reddit noticed that in many regions of the PlayStation Store, including Russian, complete edition of the first season Hitman suddenly became free.

So far, there are obvious problems with the distribution: gamers who have previously activated the free episode in Paris or the PlayStation Plus subscription version of the project cannot assign the game to themselves.

In a similar situation with the exit April collection hit PS Plus users. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End turned out to be inaccessible to those who had "currency for multiplayer" games. The problem was then promptly resolved.

How long the distribution will last is unknown: neither IO Interactive (developer studio) nor Sony Interactive Entertainment announced the start of the promotion. It is also impossible to exclude the possibility that the game became free by mistake.

As recently as yesterday from the European PlayStation Store disappeared without explanation two dozen independent and not too large developments. The affected projects have already returned to the market, but the case is still remarkable.

In terms of officially confirmed giveaways, you can now get your hands on the PS Store for free Journey and collection Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection (before 6 May), and PAC-MAN Championship Edition 2 (before 10 May).

Hitman was released by episodes between March and October 2016 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Since then, the developers from IO Interactive have already managed to release Hitman 2 and take on new game in the series.
