The state corporation Roskosmos announces that it is planned to form a new structure for rocket engine building in our country.
We are talking about the Voronezh Center for Rocket Engine Building (VTsRD). It is proposed to create it on the basis of the Design Bureau of Chemical Automation (KBKhA) and the Voronezh Mechanical Plant.
The planned project implementation period is 2019–2027. It is assumed that the formation of the structure will be carried out at the expense of the funds of the two named enterprises.
One of the key tasks for the emerging integrated structure of rocket engine building is the optimal solution for loading production capacities.
It is assumed that the emergence of a single research and production site based on the assets of KBKhA and the Voronezh Mechanical Plant will make it possible to re-equip and modernize capacities in the field of rocket engine building, diversify production, reduce production costs and increase labor productivity.
The Government of the Voronezh Region will provide comprehensive support within the framework of the project to create a new center for rocket engine building.
