We are talking about the implementation of Internet of Things technologies. In particular, garbage containers will be equipped with fill level sensors.

In addition, garbage trucks will be refurbished. They will receive attachment control sensors.

“The cheapest and most reliable technical solution will ensure control and accounting of the waste that ends up in the container for recycled materials. In the future, such verification will economically stimulate the market for the introduction of a separate tariff system,” notes Rostec.

The platform was developed by Modern Radio Technologies, which is a subsidiary of RT-Invest. Information is transferred using the LPWAN XNB protocol.

In the Moscow region, the new system is already being used by regional operators that are part of the company's structure.

In the future, Internet of Things technologies are also planned to be implemented at landfills. They will be equipped with specially developed sensors and sensors for monitoring emissions of landfill gas and leachate. Thus, supervisory agencies and regional operators will be able to quickly respond to possible emergency situations.
