The company emphasized that all users who pre-ordered will receive a full refund for their purchase. There are no plans to release the game in it in the future.

Activision press service in conversation with DTF заявилоthat Sony will not be able to support beta testing in Russia. The reasons are not given. This will not affect other platforms in any way.

“Unfortunately, we confirm that Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe, due to unforeseen circumstances, will not be able to support open beta testing of the online game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in Russia. However, our plans for open beta testing on Xbox One and PC remain unchanged. The beta test will be available to players on these platforms from September 19 to 23, 2019. We are in discussions with our colleagues at Sony and will provide additional information as soon as it becomes available,” Activision said.

The release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is scheduled for October 25, 2019. In Russia it is guaranteed to be released on PC and Xbox One. Activision has not confirmed the cancellation of the PlayStation 4 release.
