Microsoft Corporation and Rare Studio have announced a fresh update for Sea of Thieves called The Anniversary Update. It will be dedicated to the anniversary of the game and will add a number of major innovations.
The update will be released April 30th. Until that date, Rare will host several streams of demos and discussions on Mixer, Twitch, and YouTube. So, for example, on April 10 at 19:00 Moscow time, it is planned to stream according to the Arena mode, which was announced earlier. In this mode, players compete against each other for precious loot, but in a slightly different way than usual. Instead of the entire map, the action here will be limited to a small location with the possibility of combat on land and water. By reducing the area, the concentration of battles and dynamics will increase.
On April 16th at 19:00 AM PDT, there will be a demonstration of a new trading company, Brotherhood of Hunters. She will issue tasks for fishing and cooking. It is reported that in the broadcast, the developers will share details of the rewards of the trading company and its life in the world of Sea of Thieves. Finally, on April 23, the final broadcast will be held - about the story missions of Tall Tales - Shored of Gold. Pirates are waiting for a story about the mythical Gold Coast, honor, love, betrayal and friendship. Shored of Gold is only the first chapter of the story.
In addition, before the release of the update, players will already have access to events and story quests related to Shores of Plenty and the Devil's Roar, and holders of the Pirate Legends title can complete the Golden Journey of Legends. Also, those who reach level 50 of the three trading companies within the first year of the release of Sea of Thieves will receive a gold legendary mug, lyre, blunderbuss and a ship (including sails, a ship hull and a latrine figure).
