Ubuntu 19.10 installation discs include proprietary NVIDIA drivers

The installation iso images generated for the autumn release of Ubuntu Desktop 19.10, included NVIDIA proprietary driver packages. For systems with NVIDIA graphics chips, free "Nouveau" drivers continue to be offered by default, and proprietary drivers are available as an option for quick installation after installation is complete.

Drivers are included in the iso image in agreement with NVIDIA. The main motive for including NVIDIA proprietary drivers in the distribution is the desire to provide the ability to install them in isolated systems that do not have a network connection. The NVIDIA 390 and 418 driver sets are included. The 390.x branch is the latest available for 32-bit operating systems and includes support for the Fermi family of GPUs (GeForce 400/500). Updates for branch 390 will be released until 2022. After adding the proprietary driver packages, the size of the iso image increased by 114 MB to about 2.1 GB.
