OpenClaw creator Peter Steinberger and Telegram developers deal about collaborating on a popular artificial intelligence agent. Igor Zhukov, who previously created the web version of the messenger, will now be responsible for OpenClaw development.

Mr. Zhukov's first task is already known: he must determine why enabling streaming or sending messages in parts via the Bot API causes duplicate content. Telegram is currently one of the primary management tools for OpenClaw, and this issue has been persisting for several months. If partial streaming is enabled, the user receives two identical messages, after which one is deleted. The issue has been widely reported on GitHub. Telegram Bot API 9.3 already has a native sendMessageDraft method, but it has not yet been integrated into OpenClaw.

Telegram offered to participate in the project pro bono, a rare example of the platform collaborating with an open source project. The messenger developers' enthusiasm is easy to explain: OpenClaw is one of the primary means of interacting with OpenClaw, which has a positive impact on Telegram's popularity. This will also be welcomed by users of the AI agent platform. The Telegram team has essentially recognized OpenClaw as a component of the messenger ecosystem, placing it on par with client apps and bots.
