Dark theme and built-in translator appeared in test builds of Microsoft Edge

The biggest improvement in Canary 76.0.168.0 and Dev Build 76.0.167.0 is a built-in translator that will allow you to read text from any site in any supported language. Also now there is a default dark mode available. As with Chrome, it switches when you change the theme on Windows or macOS.

Also, it became possible to set the search engine directly in the address bar. That is, you can enter the keyword Bing in the address bar, then click the button and search for information through Microsoft's proprietary service. A trifle, but nice.

It is claimed that keyword search is available for all search engines that the user puts or determines the system itself. At the same time, you can add new search engines manually.

At the same time, we note that the β€œdeveloper” assembly is currently not recommended for updating. It is reported that after that the browser stops working correctly. Microsoft is aware of the issue and is looking into bug reports, but it's not yet clear when a fix will be released. With the Canary version, there were no such problems.

Also, the dark mode design isn't great in the current build. The company said that they will update it in the future and promised to introduce an improvement in the near future.
