This will allow you to install and run games using Steam, Wine and so on in Ubuntu 19.10. Given that build 18.04 will be supported in the free version until April 2023, and in the paid version until 2028, the libraries will simply be ported. As expected, this will partially solve the problem of violation of compatibility with 32-bit applications.
Another option is to run games and applications in an Ubuntu 18.04 environment or as snap packages at runtime core18. However, this is unusable for Wine to work. In addition, the rejection of 32-bit libraries will lead to the inoperability of some Linux printer drivers. As a result, Valve intends to drop official Steam support in Ubuntu 19.10 and future builds.
Instead of Ubuntu, it is planned to use another distribution, but it is not yet clear what version it will be. At the same time, we note that the problem will also affect Linux Mint and some other child distributions. On the other hand, the situation may reduce the "zoo" of the current OS and bring it to a more standardized look.
