Windows 10 May 2019 Update will keep pre-installed apps

Microsoft will continue to pre- set a typical package of applications and, in particular, games. This applies, at a minimum, to a future build of Windows 10 May 2019 Update (1903).

Windows 10 May 2019 Update will keep pre-installed apps

Earlier there were rumors that the corporation will abandon presets, but it seems not this time. It is reported that Candy Crush Friends Saga, Microsoft Solitaire Collection, Candy Crush Saga, March of Empires, Gardenscapes and Seekers Notes will be present in the May update, in particular in the Home and Pro editions.

For example, the Pro version comes with two groups of apps in the Start menu called "Productivity" and "Research". And although not all of them are installed, when you click on the tile, the programs are downloaded from the Microsoft Store. Also there is a group "Games", which includes the above names.

At the same time, it does not matter for installation whether a Microsoft account or its local version is used. In fact, such applications are not installed only on those PCs that are connected to a domain. At the same time, Microsoft allows users to remove these pre-loaded applications, and directly from the Start menu.

Another improvement in Windows 10 May 2019 Update (1903) is the ability to group tiles into folders. This is made possible by a new layout for the menu. Users can now easily unpin an entire folder by right-clicking and selecting the appropriate item.

Note that the May update has already reached the RTM stage and is being tested in the Release Preview ring. As expected, the full deployment will be at the end of May.
