Developers are having problems calculating bonuses for the Steam Summer Sale icon. The company noticed that users were receiving more experience for it than expected, so it decided to fix the bug. After a wave of criticism from players, Valve abandoned this idea and left everything as it was, deciding to give additional rewards to competition participants.

The 2019 Grand Prix is a competition from Valve that allows participants to win free games from their wishlist. All participants were divided into five teams - corgis, turtles, hares, cockatoos and pigs. Their achievements were calculated based on the number of purchases made on Steam. Winning teams were determined daily and their participants were awarded bonus games. In the first team, 300 random users received a gift, in the second - 200, and in the third - 100 people.

Valve also summed up the results for the entire duration of the competition, based on the results of which 1 thousand random players from each team were awarded. Corgi participants received three free games, Turtles received two, and Hares received one.

The Steam Summer Sale ends on July 9th at 20:00 AM ET. Until it ends, users can spend their bonus tokens on profile backgrounds, badges, and other digital rewards.
