This is an unintended situation, we have already taken measures to prevent such incidents. We ourselves are fans of Street Fighter V and deeply regret the mistake," the company said in a statement.

Details of the new characters - E. Honda, Poison and Lucia - appeared on Steam on Wednesday. Capcom planned to announce them at the EVO tournament this weekend.

Street Fighter V was released in February 2016 on PC and PlayStation 4. Users criticized the game for the lack of an arcade mode and more. Most called it an unfinished project. The updated version of the Arcade Edition was met with great enthusiasm by the players.
