Valve announced the postponement of the tenth anniversary Dota 2 World Championship. According to information, ΠΎΠΏΡƒΠ±Π»ΠΈΠΊΠΎΠ²Π°Π½Π½ΠΎΠΉ on the competition website, the tournament is planned to be held in 2021. The cause was an outbreak of coronavirus infection.

β€œGiven the extremely variable pace and geography of the spread of the infection, in the near future we will not be able to name the exact dates of the upcoming competitions. We are currently working on rebuilding the fall ranked season and will share more information as soon as we have it,” Valve said in a statement.

The company also noted that it will release a battle pass in the near future, despite the postponement of the championship. Traditionally, a quarter of the proceeds from it will go to the tournament prize fund.

The International 2020 was supposed to take place in Stockholm (Sweden). It is unclear whether the venue will change due to the postponement.
