Hungary said it had no evidence that Huawei equipment could pose a threat to national security. For his part, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto announced at an event in China on Tuesday that Huawei will be involved in the deployment of 5G networks in the country.

A statement by the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received by Reuters via email, clarifies that Huawei will cooperate with operators Vodafone and Deutsche Telekom when deploying 5G networks in the country.
