In 2017 Norwegian studio Rock Pocket Games presented his new project in the space horror genre - Moons of Madness. March 2019 developers reportedthat the game will be released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One "by Halloween" 2019 (in other words, in late October or early November) and will be published by Funcom. Now the creators have shared a 12-minute video recording the gameplay of this curious creation.

The video begins with the protagonist's acquaintance with the station, which is all covered with some kind of black mucus, not illuminated - only a dim flashlight acts as the main source of light. The player then wakes up in a normal environment on a Martian base and plays as technician Shane Newhart, delving into what is happening and getting to know this person from the environment. Gradually, the environment becomes more and more frightening.

According to the plot, scientists have recorded a mysterious intelligent signal coming from the Red Planet, which has baffled the researchers from Orochi. The board of the corporation immediately classified all data on the discovery and began the construction of the Invictus base, a Martian research outpost, the crew of which would be instructed to establish the true nature of the signal. Technician Shane Newhart's job is simply to oversee the operation of the station until the arrival of the transporter Cyrano with a team of shifts, and he does not know anything about the mysterious signal.

After some time, a wave of failures and incidents begins on the Invictus, the security system turns on the isolation protocol, the greenhouse is flooded, and Martian dust somehow seeps into the infirmary. The station is falling apart. Moreover, Shane begins to see and hear things that cannot be. Are these hallucinations, or a terrible reality ... Or maybe the technician is just slowly losing his mind? The only hope for salvation is millions of kilometers away.

The developers promise that their Martian base, which players will explore, will be built with the latest real science and technology. It will be necessary to overcome difficulties with the help of computers, electrical systems, rovers, solar panels and other equipment, including the usual mount. As the game progresses, you will have to leave the base and learn about the dark side of the Red Planet. Moons of Madness takes place in the universe of another Funcom game, Secret World Legends, but you don't have to play Secret World Legends to get to know the sci-fi horror.
