Zodiac Interactive and Palm Pioneer have released a 14-minute gameplay footage of their upcoming role-playing adventure Tales of the Neon Sea. Just in case, we recall that it does not apply in any way to the Tales of JRPG series.
The video shows how the main character Mr. Fog helps the police with the investigation at the crime scene. However, you can try all this yourself before buying the game thanks to the demo version of Tales of the Neon Sea, available in
βWe love the idea of ββa cyberpunk detective/crime story,β said producer Tian Chao. - As in the classics, we will see the relationship between humans and AI / robots with the player investigating crimes as the basis of the gameplay. Of course, how we differentiate our storytelling from those that came before us ultimately characterizes Tales of the Neon Sea - in that regard, we take a lighter, more humorous and whimsical approach to the genre."
Tian Chao also explained that creating detailed and eye-catching pixel art, as well as lighting it in unique ways, is one of the team's core skills. βCyberpunk and pixel art tend to go well together, so it made sense for us to continue in that direction with Tales of the Neon Sea,β he said.
Recall that in Tales of the Neon Sea, people and robots are struggling with growing tension in society and mutual distrust. Players will investigate crimes and uncover the terrible secret of the cyberpunk city. The project will go on sale April 30 on PC. Tales of the Neon Sea is also announced for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, but there is no release date for those versions of the game.
