Launched in June, the level-rotating action-platformer Exception will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC on August 13th. The action of the neon platformer Exception takes place inside a computer system infected with a malicious virus. The protagonist is one brave process that has stepped out of the shadows to lead the resistance and overthrow the brutal regime. Players will have to combine lightning-fast reflexes and calculated attacks to defeat the virus and restore freedom to the system.
This retro-futuristic 2D platformer features 3D levels that can transform as you progress, opening up new obstacles and opportunities to explore. Each level acts as a puzzle to be solved as you progress.
The storyline campaign of Exception is revealed in 17 illustrated videos, from which players learn about the collapse of the system and the subsequent period of anarchy, which gave rise to the emergence of a totalitarian virus. By collecting hidden artifacts during the game, you can improve the attacks and increase the damage of the character, as well as create devastating combinations.
Synthwave compositions are used as musical accompaniment: almost two hours of tracks from the best composers of this direction, including Kalax and Waveshaper, will be available. Exception offers over 800 Steam Leaderboards to test your skills in a wide variety of genres and styles.
