This update will offer two new open maps, Smolensk and Polar, for the Warzone mode, the SA-80 and M4 WMS weapons, combat drone vehicles, AJAX and MRAP infantry fighting vehicles, British armed forces uniforms and two winter camouflages. New features include VoIP voice communication, a mobile respawn point in the form of MRAP, a redesign of the detection system, improvements in team interaction, changes in the balance of the Warzone mode. The Polyarny map, which received its own introductory trailer, is described by the developers as follows: “Polyarny is the northern outpost of Russia, the main base of the Northern Fleet. The city is located 33 kilometers from Murmansk, on the coast of the Ekaterininskaya harbor of the Kola Bay of the Barents Sea. Since the 50s, the local shipyard No. 10, known as Shkval, has been modernized to dock and repair nuclear submarines, and today it can carry out work on third-generation nuclear submarines.

The map is located on a slope and provides sufficient visibility for those at the top. It's a large open location, but with a few buildings that give it the feel of both an open and a city map. There are several administrative buildings, as well as apartment buildings, where you can always hide not only from the cold, but also from the open sky.”

In turn, the area for the Smolensk map was chosen by the developers from Poland for the reason that the Smolensk region is well known in history - it has witnessed several serious military conflicts of the past centuries.

This open terrain map offers players a new type of gameplay that allows players to take a fresh look at vehicles, feel the importance of choosing the right strike and its use, make them wary of enemy soldiers flashing through the trees, raise their heads and seek cover from annoying quadcopters, combat drones and snipers .

The developers also promise to fix a number of bugs and make changes to the balance in the April update. Additionally, there should be fewer frame stuttering issues, and performance optimizations should make the game run smoother compared to version 0.5. In the future, a completely new animation system, a completely redesigned customization menu, and an update to the base engine to the newer version of Unreal Engine 4.2.1 are promised. Of course, World War 3 will have many more new weapons, vehicles, maps and other new features in the coming months.
