Like a kind of pause in our fast-paced life? Like Furi, Haven is about fighting for freedom."
Haven is about two characters, a couple in love, Yu and Kei. They fled to a desert planet to stay together. You have to play as both of them, live with them, explore the fragmented planet Origin with the characters, sliding through the tall grass like a surfer on the waves. Haven, according to the creators, is designed to relax the players, make them laugh and fall in love with Yu and Kei. It is good for all types of players, both experienced and beginners. This is a single-player project, to which, however, a second player can connect at any time to play together.
In battle, you have to control both characters at the same time. This is not a turn-based mode, but the battles do not take place entirely in real time. The player gives orders by holding down the keys for each character, and the characters take action when the buttons are released. Tactics and timing are required to create chains of attacks or combine them. It's not about the need to act quickly - just a certain rhythm is felt in the battles.
The plot is revealed through Yu and Kei's daily lives. They cook, they eat, they sleep, and the choice of lines in the dialogues affects how the story develops and what long-term consequences this will lead to ... Of course, life for Yu and Kei is not always a vacation. And even survival is not the biggest problem.
The light sci-fi world of Haven, with its colorful and dreamy artistic touch, comes to life with custom-made electronic music from the band Danger, with a ton of compositions designed to create experiences ranging from the energy of a sunny morning to the intensity of battles at night in the mountains.
