One of the most anticipated games, Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt RED, received an official release date at E3 2019 - April 16, 2020 (PC, PS4, Xbox One). Also thanks cinematic trailer it became known about the participation of Keanu Reeves (Keanu Reeves) in the game. Finally, the developers promised to implement support in the project NVIDIA RTX ray tracing.

It's no coincidence that NVIDIA decided to meet with Cyberpunk 2077 lead quest designer Pawel Sasko for a short interview. He said that the project is dedicated to the story of the mercenary V, who is trying to survive in Night City and, as a result of some circumstances, meets Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves.

The developers began negotiations with the actor a long time ago, and his choice was not accidental. The fact is that Reeves played in cult cyberpunk films like 1995's Johnny Mnemonic or the Matrix trilogy. By the way, there will be references to Johnny Mnemonic in the game - for example, during a game demonstration, the public was shown weapons such as a nanowire whip, which seemed to have completely migrated from the cinema. There will be plenty of other nods to iconic cyberpunk works like the 1982 Blade Runner movie, the 1988 Akira anime, the Cowboy Bebop series, and various cult books.

Also, the developers were largely inspired by the non-linearity of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines and, of course, developed rich developments The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. A new flexible system for creating your own character class allows you to combine different skills of completely different branches in one hero, and these abilities will work in the game. In Cyberpunk 2077, it will even be possible, without killing anyone, to advance through the story and complete missions, including secondary ones.

In a conversation with NVIDIA, Pavel Sasko also emphasized that the use of ray tracing made it possible to make the cyberpunk atmosphere even deeper: all these neon reflections in a dark and gloomy city began to look even more realistic. To showcase Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay at E3 2019 was used powerful NVIDIA Titan RTX accelerator.
