Youtuber Landan2006 published a recording of a match in Gears 5 in the Escalation PvP mode. As the developers said earlier, in it two teams of five people fight for control points on the map.
The match is divided into 13 rounds. Depending on the number of captured points, teams with different speeds are awarded points. The winner is the five that score 250 points first or completely destroy the opposing team. Despite the fact that points are awarded fairly quickly, most of the matches in the video ended with the complete destruction of the enemy squad.
Earlier, the developers told the details of the Escalation mode. In each new round, all participants are given five lives. After they are exhausted, the player will no longer be able to revive. According to the video, you can respawn 16 seconds after death.
Gears 5 is the fifth installment in the Gears of War shooter series. It was announced at E3 2018. In the spring of 2019, Microsoft announced a partnership with tournament operator ELEAGUE. How exactly the esports aspect of the game will develop is still unknown.
