The creator of Her Story has released the first trailer for his new game Telling Lies.
Sam Barlow's new game will feature four actors: Logan Marshall-Green (Upgrade, Prometheus, The Invitation), Alexandra Shipp (X-Men: Apocalypse) , Kerry Bishe (Kerry Bishe; "Stop and burn") and Angela Sarafyan (Angela Sarafyan; "World of the Wild West").
A short trailer features footage of Telling Lies with four of the characters. The game will tell about their personal lives, ninety-six little lies and one big lie. In an interview with screenwriter and project director Sam Barlow at the Game Developers Conference 2019, USgamer found out that the developer was inspired by the FMV game The Conversation.
According to the plot, players will receive a stolen NSA hard drive, which stores footage from the lives of the heroes, collected over two years. The task will consist of listening to Skype calls, FaceTime calls and watching webcam recordings to understand not only how these people are connected, but also why the government is invading their privacy. Sam Barlow promises the same non-linearity that players have come to love with Her Story.
Telling Lies will be available in 2019 for PC and iOS. Release on other platforms may take place later.
