Developers from the Polish studio The Farm 51 have launched a crowdfunding campaign to create a horror game with survival elements, Chernobylite. The authors plan to raise $100 thousand by the beginning of May. In honor of this event, they released a story trailer, demonstrating, among other things, a number of gameplay features.

The player will play as a physicist named Igor, who returned to the Chernobyl exclusion zone after thirty years. He wants to know the fate of his beloved. Judging by the trailer, the main character is haunted by visions of her: the girl is talking, trying to force Igor to return home. The character talks about wanting to know what happened after the disaster. In the video, the authors showed travel through gloomy locations with high background radiation.

Players will be able to measure the level of infection using a dosimeter. The zone is guarded by military detachments; some parts cannot be easily reached - you need to look for workarounds or engage in open battle. Users will have to equip their own base and invite survivors to it. Chernobylite has a system for creating useful items and collecting resources.

The developers from The Farm 51 want to release their horror game in November of this year through the early access program on Steam. The full version of the project will appear sometime in the second half of 2020. In May, the authors will provide access to a trial version to those who donate on Kickstarter.
