An Australian modder under the pseudonym illusion posted a video on his YouTube channel showing a demonstration of the RPCS3 version of The Last of Us, equipped with the latest unofficial patches.

Contrary to popular opinion, the video does not reflect the operation of The Last of Us on PC in real time: footage from the game was recorded in slow motion, and then manually accelerated in the editing.

However, the video allows you to evaluate the look of The Last of Us for RPCS3 compared to the PS4 Pro edition. Both versions run at the same resolution (1080p), but YouTube uploaded the video in 1440p for the best bitrate.

Despite the increased clarity of the image, when moving to RPCS3, the game lost some graphical effects (for example, depth of field) and high-quality shadows.

At this stage, the RPCS3 version of The Last of Us suffers not only from performance problems (on AMD Ryzen 5 1600 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, the game gave illusion a whopping 6 frames / s), but also from numerous crashes and lack of stability.

The Last of Us went on sale on June 14, 2013 on PS3, and on July 30, 2014 reached PS4 as reissues. Coming June 19 sequel also planned for release only on PlayStation consoles.
