Fast Retailing, the parent company of Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo, has teamed up with Japanese startup Mujin to develop robots that can identify, pick and pack clothes into boxes just like humans.

In the video, you can see how the new robots handle textiles or knitwear in free-form plastic packaging, identifying them and placing them in cardboard boxes for further shipment. The robots can even pick up pieces of paper to place in designated boxes.
