Hi-Rez Studios, known for Paladins and Smite, announced its next game called Rogue Company at the Nintendo Direct presentation. This is a multiplayer shooter in which users choose a character, join a team and fight against opponents. Judging by the trailer that accompanied the announcement, the action takes place in modern times or the near future.
The description reads: “Rogue Company is a secret group of famous mercenaries from around the world. At best, people only heard vague rumors about them. And for those who know about the organization, they carry out the most difficult assignments.” The First Watch Games team is responsible for the development of the project. The first video showed two teams landing in some port area and starting a battle. The heroes use a variety of weapons - from sniper rifles to rocket launchers with homing projectiles. The trailer shows a girl with a drone, the use of throwing weapons and bouncing grenades.
Judging by the arsenal, the characters in Rogue Company are divided into classes. This is confirmed by the use of different weapons, as well as the distinctive appearance features of each fighter.
The project will be released in 2020 on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, the exact date has not yet been announced.
