Video: UAZ trips and daily cycle in the fan-made remaster of STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl on UE4

The author of the YouTube channel Ivan Sorce continues to work on the remaster of STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl on the Unreal Engine 4. Previously, he showed 8K textures and the display of the sky, and now he demonstrated the change of day and night in the game and a trip to the "UAZ".

In the first video, the enthusiast simply stands in the middle of the village and barely moves. He chose positions in such a way as to show the movement of shadows and the change of time of day. Gradually, the video comes to a sunset, natural light becomes less and less, and at the end the night is shown. It is worth noting that in the dark, without a flashlight, almost nothing is visible, and the fires illuminate only a small area around them.

The second video is dedicated to trips on the legendary UAZ. Ivan Sorce has implemented first and third person vehicle controls, but this aspect of the game is still being tested. The author has yet to add a character model to the car and a realistic sound of the engine, get rid of unnatural sliding during turns and, in general, refine the physical properties of the vehicle.

It is worth noting that Ivan Sorce's videos with a demonstration of the STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl remaster collect dozens of comments. Most users support the author and express their desire to see the final version of the project.

When exactly the updated version of the game from Ivan Sorce will be released is currently unknown.
