Judging by the video, this time the action will take place in the wilderness around a fire. Once again, a small company will find itself in trouble, from which it is unlikely that everyone will come out alive (judging by Man of Medan, the player can either save or destroy the entire group). Among the heroes we are shown Andrew and Angela. The trailer also shows a girl in old-fashioned clothes and a certain monster that kills Angela.

Each game in the horror anthology will tell completely different stories with different characters. They will be united by cinematic presentation and the mysterious figure of a certain all-knowing observer, known as the Curator. This hero exists outside of time and writes down stories about life and death for the section of the repository for which he is responsible, has been doing this for thousands of years and no longer remembers how it all began. This time, for reasons unknown even to himself, he got the opportunity to communicate with the player - he can give hints, but is not able to interfere in what is happening. The role of the Curator is played by British actor Pip Torrens, known for the films “The Crown” and “Preacher”.

The standalone games in The Dark Pictures, an anthology of cinematic thrillers, are designed with replayability in mind, with multiple story branches, multiple endings, and decision-driven scenarios.

Man of Medan launches on August 30th on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Price on Steam is ₽999.
