At the GDC 2019 Game Developers Conference, Paradox Interactive and Hardsuit Labs announced Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, a role-playing game set in the World of Darkness universe. The game is in development and will be released for PC and consoles in March 2020. Interestingly, the PC version claims support for hybrid rendering based on ray tracing and NVIDIA DLSS intelligent full-screen anti-aliasing.

Bloodlines 2 promises a fast-paced storyline, fast-paced melee combat, and mysterious characters, each with their own ulterior motives. The player will be able to become the highest vampire, take to the city streets in search of a victim, take part in political intrigues and try to find a balance between the irrepressible thirst for blood and the remnants of humanity.

According to the plot, the protagonist, converted during the vampire rebellion, causes a bloody war between the factions that control Seattle. To survive, he will have to join one of the clans (each with its own history and unique features) and try to figure out the intricate system of alliances with competing factions in a world that reacts to any action.

As the game progresses, you will meet both the old founders of clans that have been in the city since its birth, as well as new characters who establish their own rules by adopting modern technologies. The player will have supernatural powers, but will be required to obey the Masquerade - the supreme law of secrecy, thanks to which the vampire world keeps a secret about itself.
