Publisher THQ Nordic and studio Airship Syndicate have published a new trailer for Darksiders Genesis, a Diablo-inspired spin-off from the main series. The cinematic video is dedicated to the fourth horseman of the Apocalypse, Discord. And at the end of the video, the authors published the release date of the project.
The trailer shows Discord arriving at some sort of demon haunt and striking up a conversation with a three-headed monster. After a mutual exchange of threats, the rider shot at the enemy's two heads and then fired a control bullet. The rest of the demons were preparing to attack, but the brother of Discord, War, arrived. Together they began to destroy their opponents in droves. And in the last seconds the video shows a clip of the gameplay: battles, traveling around the world on horseback, cooperative interaction and character skills.
Darksiders Genesis will be released on December 5, 2019 on PC and Google Stadia. The project will reach PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on February 14, 2020. The game's concept is reminiscent of Diablo, but has several important differences from the Blizzard Entertainment series. This includes the lack of equipment, a focus on the spectacle of battles and cooperative interaction with the ability to change heroes at any time during the passage.
