Gradually, the list of games that support ray tracing technology (more precisely, hybrid visualization) is expanding. During Computex 2019, NVIDIA announced another addition - we are talking about the Chinese role-playing blockbuster Sword and Fairy 7 from Softstar Entertainment, which will also receive RTX support.

The new part of the Sword and Fairy series will support improved rendering of not only shadows, but also reflections using ray tracing methods in conjunction with traditional rasterization. In order to show the benefits of the technology, the developers, together with NVIDIA, presented a special demo trailer.

If the video shows game graphics (albeit in cinematic scenes), then fans of the series will get a very interesting product. A rather curious scene has been selected with an abundance of sparks, moving lava and fire. There are also puddles and reflective walls. There will be something to load graphics cards like the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti when the game hits store shelves.

The exact launch date of Sword and Fairy 7 has not been announced - it is only stated that the role-playing adventure will be released before the end of the year. Released in 2015 Sword and Fairy 6 sold on Steam for 360 rubles (only Chinese voice acting and English subtitles are available) and is not very popular in our area.
