The crossover fighting game Jump Force was released in February to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Japanese magazine Weekly Shonen Jump. The developers, together with the publishing house Bandai Namco Entertainment, tried to combine dozens of characters from many famous manga published in this magazine, which were later released into various anime adaptations. Among others was the manga "King of Games" (Yu-Gi-Oh!) - as one of the fighters in the game there is a powerful schoolboy Yugi Muto, who previously received his own trailer.
Now, Mutou, united with the soul of an ancient Egyptian pharaoh who has lost his memory, will meet with his main rival Seto Kaiba (and later ally), the head of the Kaiba Corporation. This fighter deals massive damage with his Blue Eyed White Dragon and Obelisk of the Tormentor. He invented computer simulators to create 3D holograms of Duel Monsters cards. A cold and withdrawn character, Yugi was considered the best player in the world before Yugi's loss. The character will be available in May 2019 both as a standalone DLC and through the Jump Force Season Pass. A new teaser is dedicated to him:
The cost of the season subscription of the fighting game on Steam is 999 rubles. The developers promise to introduce nine new playable characters within its framework, and subscription owners will receive four days of exclusive early access to new fighters before their full launch, as well as new abilities and costume elements for further customizing the Avatar (personalization of their fighter).
Previously, the publisher has published plans for the release of free updates and DLC:
- in April - an update with clans, events and new avatar costumes;
- in May - three paid characters and costumes / skills for the avatar, as well as an update with online missions, a raid boss and an arena;
- in June - another portion of avatar costumes, as well as an event in the arena;
- in July - a tournament event and new avatar costumes;
- in August - three paid characters and avatar costumes / skills, free avatar costumes and a new arena.
Jump Force is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
