During last year's Days of Play promotion, Sony unveiled a limited edition PS4 Slim console in blue. Well, the event is returning this year in June, with another themed PS4 Slim Special Edition coming soon.
You can see the design of this variant in the attached trailer: it is as simple and concise as possible. The usual black hull color has been changed to steel grey. Also, recognizable symbols of the main DualShock buttons were applied to the upper face. The kit comes with a DualShock 4 controller in the appropriate design.
Frankly, the offer is not particularly impressive: if you read the comments, you can see that many players are wondering why the base system went into the limited series and not the PlayStation 4 Pro? The only thing that Days of Play PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro have in common is the built-in 1TB storage. The rest of the system looks and feels like a regular PlayStation 4.
The console is expected to hit store shelves in June, similar to last year's Time to Play promotion. If the price matches its predecessor, it should be $299,99 in the US market.
